Seoul and Beijing 2009
The first purpose of this vacation was to visit someone who was dear to me at the time, in what was then in anticipation of a likely change in our connubial states. Unfortunately, over the next nine months, the relationship ended. I initially did not post photographs on my first website from the Chinese portion of the trip, but time, as it usually does, has worn away the unpleasant memories, so for the sake of completeness I've included them here.

The first three pictures are from the site of the former Sampoong Department Store, which on 29 June 1995 collapsed, killing 501. No plaque or memorial marks the location.
